Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible during client hours. Mondays-Fridays 9 AM - 8 PM Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Eastern Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Playwright E2E Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in writing, maintaining, and executing end-to-end tests using the Playwright framework to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of our web applications. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets user expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated E2E test scripts using Playwright for web applications across multiple browsers (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit).
  • Execute test cases to validate user workflows, UI functionality, and API integrations.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with product goals.
  • Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) for continuous testing.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
  • Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on Playwright updates, best practices, and emerging testing tools/technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure test scripts are efficient, reusable, and maintainable.


Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in automated testing, with at least 1 year using Playwright for E2E testing.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Playwright’s primary languages).
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, REST APIs).
  • Experience with test frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-documented test scripts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with other testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer.
  • Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience testing mobile web applications or PWAs (Progressive Web Apps).
  • Knowledge of performance and accessibility testing.
