Job description

Job Overview & Responsibilities:

As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will provide support in all functional and general areas of HR and support the business through delivering effective compliance monitoring, oversight, and advice. This may involve but is not limited to license monitoring, maintenance of employee files and related document management, job description maintenance, performance management related to compliance, and compliance tracking initiatives.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Coordinates regulatory compliance efforts related to required clinical licensure and clinical certifications to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts compliance audits in a consistent and timely manner and reports findings to affected staff and appropriate managers.
  • Develops sound internal controls to monitor and maintain all clinical licensure and required certification to ensure they are correct, current and readily available for state and regulatory surveys and audits.
  • Responsible for assuring all associates meet requirements associated with transfers and promotions; role orientation/competencies
  • Enters and maintains HRIS system information, changes, approvals, etc., to ensure employee professional and personal information is current and up to date.
  • Generates, analyzes and distributes data reports to management and external relationships on a daily/weekly/annual/ad-hoc basis.
  • Monitors and maintains post-hire compliance requirements; ensures competencies, licenses, certification, and all other compliance items are current and submitted before compliance deadline. Communicates effectively with management and employees to make sure that records are updated accurately and timely.
  • Reviews and verifies monthly Name Verifications.
  • Project administrator for EverCheck licensing monitoring system.
  • Assigns disciplinary/performance improvement plans associated with expired licensure or required certifications.
  • Addresses employee HR policy inquiries, interpretations and human resources procedures as it relates to Federal and State law.
  • Coordinates employee file document management system processes to enforce consistency and thoroughness of file requirements; maintains employee file to ensure Joint Commission survey readiness.
  • Enforces company policies/procedures and ensures compliance with Federal and state regulations.
  • Maintains consistent partnership with affiliated hospital partners to ensure hospitals are kept up to date of all hospital cleared employee changes and terminations; badge returns, and ensure communication of ending security clearances and hospital systems access (EMR systems, etc.)
  • Ensures hospital annual initiatives are communicated and tracked; annual flu season requirements, annual learning and compliance
  • Submits monthly state Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting for designated regions.
  • Consistently meet competency and knowledge requirements deemed necessary by PT Solutions’ Leadership.
  • Participates and actively assists in meeting the HR team objectives
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
