EDI Programme Lead – Supply Chain (Life Sciences/Pharma)

Location: Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced EDI Programme Lead to drive the implementation of a standardized EDI Core Model as part of a key strategic initiative. This is a high-visibility, business-critical programme that requires exceptional stakeholder management, strategic leadership, and deep expertise in supply chain digitalization within the Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Programme Execution:
  • Lead the definition, enhancement, and deployment of a standardized EDI Core Model across selected customers and markets.
  • Ensure seamless business-IT alignment, bridging technical requirements with commercial objectives.
  • Define and execute a common strategy for automated business document exchange, reducing manual effort and operational risks.
  • Oversee supplier selection and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, capability-driven partnerships.
  • Drive implementation and rollout in a phased manner, ensuring adoption and scalability.
Stakeholder & Change Management:
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and aligned objectives.
  • Engage and influence C-level executives and senior stakeholders, providing transparent progress updates.
  • Establish governance and risk management frameworks to mitigate challenges throughout the programme.
  • Drive change management and stakeholder adoption strategies to maximize business benefits.
Operational Excellence & Reporting:
  • Ensure continuous monitoring, reporting, and risk management across the programme lifecycle.
  • Provide structured executive-level reporting, ensuring visibility into milestones, risks, and financial impact.
  • Champion digital transformation and automation within supply chain processes, advancing the organization’s digital roadmap.



Requirements

7+ years in programme management

15+ years in IT project management

Experience in the Life Sciences industry (preferred subverticals: Pharma or Consumer Healthcare) - at least 5 recent years

Experience in working within global dispersed environment 

Excellent communication skills with senior leadership 

Well proven track record in direct communication with C-level 

Steerco management experience 



Timezones 

Mainly CET but there are some calls with LATAM and APAC that needs accommodating the calendars 

Assignment: full FTE  

Location: EU (almost 100% remote)
