Job Description:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst for Tactical Initiatives is responsible for identifying problems, performing process improvement, and applying optimizing methods to assess software
tools and implementation to be utilized in software development/acquisition projects. The business analyst acts as a liaison with business and clinical users and the software development / application team(s) and is responsible for conducting system analysis, cost analysis, and design. Senior-level professional experienced in all aspects of business systems analysis. Encompasses full knowledge required within the software development lifecycle with a focus on business workflow and requirements. Typically designs and develops approaches that are implemented by others. Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Utilizes appropriate tools to meet complex ad hoc informational needs and collect and organize information. Maintains an advanced understanding of the data model and data use of assigned systems.
- Documents and recommends workflow changes and technical / functional requirements, specifications and designs solutions (e.g. logical data models, validation rules, screen design, report design, interface design, batch processing design, etc.) needed to support the business requirements for highly complex problems and according to organizational standards and processes. Prepares documents explaining recommendations for stakeholders.
- Solves highly complex issues, incidents, problems according to agreed upon service levels and according to IS standards and processes. Gathers input and collaboratively works with peers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors.
- Gathers input from key business stakeholders to determine business rules, needs, specifications, feasibility (workflow and cost), and priorities for application development/acquisition requests and projects with a high level of complexity and according to organizational standards and processes. Consults with key business stakeholders on selection and acquisition of 3rd party solutions.
- Develop and test quantitative models, support software, and analytical tools, including collaborating with key IS staff in the acquisition, configuration, development, testing, and implementation of solutions (vended and internally developed) with a high level of complexity.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in the development of training and knowledge based materials and in training peers, end-users, and other IS team members.
- Participates in leading efforts to create and manage project plans for projects with a high level of complexity. Assists and as assigned leads the prioritization of tasks/assignments.
- Maintains advanced level of understanding of application development methodologies, tools and techniques to effectively work with customers / staff to determine needs, specifications, feasibility, priorities for application development requests and projects.
- Acquires and maintains an advanced understanding of the technical and functional architecture, security and compliance requirements of assigned systems and integration.
Position may telecommute from any state in the United States except California, Hawaii, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Planning and Monitoring, Elicitation and Collaboration, System Design, Data Modeling and Recruitment Lifecycle Management.
- Knowledge in writing SQL statements to query the backend of the different systems using SqlDbx Pro or Toad Data Point.
- Understands and can independently perform the requirement gathering techniques necessary for completing functional design specifications.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Framework.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Knowledge in creating Wireframes and U/I designs.
- Creating project related requirement artifacts, both functional and nonfunctional.
- Conducting requirement gathering sessions.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to create business processes and flow diagrams.
- Knowledge of Data Visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Gap Analysis, SWOT analysis, Risk Analysis, and risk integration techniques.

Salary (Annual): $108,618 to $114,048
Work Location: 5381 South Green Street, Murray, Utah 84123, Position may telecommute from any state in the United States except California, Hawaii, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington.
Hours of work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
