Job description

We are seeking a Manager of IT Infrastructure to lead and oversee our organization's IT infrastructure, cloud services, and production environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure that supports business operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS cloud services, .NET-based applications, Azure, production system management, and deployment processes while managing a team of IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

  • Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, scalability, and security.
  • Manage AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, ECS, Kubernetes, and CloudFormation.
  • Optimize and monitor system performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency in AWS.
  • Manage the IT operations budget, including resource allocation, hardware/software procurement, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and costs are controlled.

Production Environment & Monitoring:

  • Manage the production environment, ensuring uptime, reliability, and incident response readiness.
  • Review production logs, analyze system errors, and implement corrective actions to improve stability.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices using CloudWatch, DataDog, or similar tools.
  • Oversee disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.

Code Deployment & DevOps:

  • Oversee deployment processes for .NET-based applications, ensuring smooth releases with minimal downtime.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize release workflows.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Work closely with software development, DevOps, and business teams to align IT infrastructure with company goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, documentation standards, and change management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, cloud computing, and production system operations.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, VPC, ECS, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Experience with .NET application hosting, IIS, and SQL Server administration.
  • Hands-on experience in managing production environments, troubleshooting logs, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with log aggregation tools (DataDog, CloudWatch Logs, etc.).
  • Experience in networking, security, VPNs, and firewall management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools 
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, identity management, and compliance.
  • Leadership experience in team management, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or similar).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
  • ITIL or PMP certification a Plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner and able to develop subject matter skills
  • Being able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls/meetings/chats during weekdays working
  • Quiet workspace, conducive to video meetings & calls
  • Access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection; at least 25MBPS.
  • Double monitors preferred but not required (if available)
