Job description

Title: Lead QA Data Analyst (Role Type: Warranty Model Lead)
Location : Irvine , CA (100% Remote)

Duration: 8 Months (Possible ext)

The Warranty Model, Lead performs the following functions for the Commercial Finance team:
  • Acts as a liaison between Rivian's Reliability Data Scientist and Commercial Finance team to refine and enhance Rivian's vehicle Warranty Model, which is built in Databricks and coded in Python.
  • Scales the Warranty Model to include new cohorts, vehicle variants, and other products.
  • Maintains fidelity of the Warranty Model inputs and assumptions.
  • Ensures that the warranty model complies with accounting standards, SOX controls, and is actuarially sound.
  • Performs and coordinates Warranty Model updates.
  • Reviews and monitors warranty data through automated reports and dashboards.
  • Prepares and presents insightful analyses to support leadership in decision-making.
  • Supports internal and external audit requests.
  • Supports SEC financial reporting requirement requests.
The following credentials are required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 6+ years of warranty experience
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python)
  • Analytical mind with strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
