About the team
 

The IMA Events and Activations Team are experts in creating and delivering unforgettable experiences for brands. Collaborating with our Client Services, Creative, and Production teams, we manage projects from start to finish. With a global reach spanning the UK, EU, and USA, we deliver seamless events that captivate audiences and help brands engage with their consumers on a whole new, experiential level. We are a fast-paced, proactive and collaborative team that work to elevate events whilst making them profitable and logistically seamless.

 

   

Summary of the role

The key focus of the Events Manager will be managing ongoing retail and consumer events in LA. You will also support with local installs, photoshoots and site audits across all client work. The role will be primarily dedicated to projects within the LA market, but project coverage could extend to other markets if needed. Some other exciting day-to-day tasks include event management, partner and vendor comms, budget negotiation, event staffing and local site audits. We are looking for someone who is comfortable and available to be client facing at events and occasional meetings, so our LA-based clients have a local agency contact.

 

  

Some responsibilities of the  role will include

  • Provide close consultancy throughout creative process to ensure ideas are feasible within timeline and budget; flag deadlines and considerations for the team with proper advance notice (staffing needs, health/safety protocols, space requirements, etc.)
  • Manage comms with print production suppliers to quote and produce gift-with-purchase items, gifting elements, print collateral, etc.
  • Event execution and oversight, with special focus on culture-led experiences for in-store and popup events.
  • Manage budget and timeline for event-related elements and secure brand ambassador staff to support onsite; develop ROS, BA briefs and event plans, and secure COIs and permits where needed.
  • Provide localized insights and identify potential partners in LA that feel well aligned to our clients and the work we do.
  • Apply a strategic and analytic mindset with a view on success measurement from the onset; note learnings from each event and work with CS on implementing optimizations to our processes.

 

This role will be based between New York and LA with regular travel.
