Job description

As an Engineering Manager for the Platform team at Cardata, you’ll lead a team re-building our core platform from the ground up. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a startup environment, balancing technical contribution with strategic and effective delegation.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor a high performing engineering team, facilitating career development conversations, conducting regular performance evaluation and providing on-going feedback

Evaluate and own the platform architecture and develop strategic roadmap for feature development and scalability

Be hands on in the development while ensuring efficient project execution and roadmap progress.

Establish best practices for security, documentation,and scalability

Conduct code reviews to uphold quality and industry standards.

Partner with the Lead Product Manager and key stakeholders to prioritize work based on business objectives, customer feedback, and technical requirements.

Monitor KPI’s, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement.

Partner with stakeholders to understand user feedback, address bugs and enhance product values.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams driving trust and transparency

What You'll Bring

8+ years of experience in software engineering with 2+ years in a leadership role

Proficiency with Typescript, React, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, NestJS and NextJS

Understanding of Clean Code Principles, testing, and building with quality

Experience with logging and monitoring platforms such as Datadog

Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills

Proven ability to manage teams, align with business goals, and maintain clear documentation
