You are an experienced Sales Engineer who understands client networking needs, designs tailored solutions, and drives successful sales engagements. You have the ability to address the unique challenges of our clients, and provide expert guidance on our network offerings. The hands-on aspect of successfully designing, configuring & installing complex IT solutions excites you. You are eager to work closely with both the sales and engineering teams to drive successful sales in the networking and security space. You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and sales acumen.


Responsibilities:

  • Support and promote the mission, values, and principles of Powernet.
  • The Sales Engineers’ main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales
  • Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint
  • Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls and answer or educate the customer and partner on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration
  • Serve as the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues
  • Articulate the technical features and benefits of our products to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements
  • Understand routers, switches, site to site and SSL VPNs, firewalls to quote as needed
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and advantages of our network and security solutions
  • Address technical inquiries and concerns, guiding clients through the decision-making process
  • Design and propose tailored network and security solutions that align with client requirements
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation and diagrams to support the sales process
  • Provide technical expertise during negotiations, addressing technical concerns and overcoming objections
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and recommendations based on a deep understanding of client environments
  • Assist sales in growing existing accounts with Powernet expanded technologies and QBRs
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities when engaging with both existing and new customers
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Network-focused IT management experience preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales engineering, specifically in network and security solutions
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Antivirus
  • Previous MSP experience
  • In-depth technical knowledge of networking protocols and related infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking in addressing client challenges
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
Desired Skills:
  • Fortinet or other vendor equivalent professional level certifications
  • Experience with network hardware/software solutions: Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco routers and switches, Ruckus Wireless Controllers and APs
  • Experience with designing communications solutions for VoIP systems
  • Experience designing network, security, and cloud solutions
  • Experience with, network security principles and general network management best practices
  • Experience with cloud based services such as AWS, Azure, Back Ups
  • Ability to scope for Cybersecurity needs
Salary Description
$85,000-$95,000
