Who you are:

Relying on a deep appreciation of customer needs and a solid understanding of technologies, the Product Manager leads product strategy through the definition, design, execution, and support phases. This role serves as a key liaison within CIEE and helps to establish and maintain a strong working partnership between IT and its business counterparts and has direct management responsibilities for one or more Product Analysts.
This position is embedded in and works closely with a strong, global software engineering team acting as Product Owner in the Scrum framework, as well as leveraging strong strategic thinking while collaborating on highly detailed and competing product initiatives with multiple lines of business.


What you’ll do:


Product Development:
  • Serve as a product manager within IT operating under the guidance of the Scrum framework.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for the product line.
  • Write user stories and other product backlog items that contain workable, testable, and easy-to-understand acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and refining product backlog items with the team.
  • Manage the continual development and maintenance of existing products by reviewing milestones with stakeholders and identifying and planning appropriate product releases.
  • Collaborate within the team and overall department on testing guidelines for items redevelopment.
  • Design and collaborate on UI and UX for CIEE software products.
  • Negotiate deliverables and scope of requirements across multiple stakeholders and projects, fostering strong relationships between IT and business units.
  • Create and collaborate on business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development, and support.
  • Conduct working sessions that detail sizing and estimates of key features, and communicate the results through business cases.
  • Help identify and collaborate on key process improvements for your team.
Product Strategy
  • Liaise closely with key business and market stakeholders to build close and productive working relationships.
  • Conduct Stakeholder committee meetings.
  • Design and collaborate on innovative and workable solutions to satisfy market needs and customer expectations in close liaison with the Scrum Team(s) and stakeholders.
  • Research and track innovations in competitor activity to inform product direction and analyze CIEE’s products strengths and weaknesses.
  • Analyze market research for insights that inform and validate the proposed solution.
People Management
  • Direct manager of one or more Product Analysts.
  • Empower the team to lead the management, documentation, and follow-up of production support items as necessary.
  • Ensure the team is well-versed in gathering and writing acceptance criteria.
  • Establish and maintain a healthy framework for maximizing the value of your ProductAnalyst team.
  • Help your direct reports achieve their goals – both team and personal.
  • Foster an environment of support, inclusion, and belonging.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.

The position is available to candidates in the Canada and United States, except for candidates residing in:
