Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview :
  • We are looking for 8+ Years of Mainframe skilled (Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS) resources who would be working on development and testing on major initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer, with a strong understanding of mainframe technologies and programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
  • Proven expertise in mainframe application design, development, and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of mainframe database management systems (DB2, IMS, VSAM, etc.) and file handling techniques.
  • Experience with system integration and interfacing between mainframe and other platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and version control systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a development team and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • P&C Insurance, Membership, Claims, Billing domain experience is a plus.
