Overall Responsibilities:
Play Store is looking for a UX/UI visual designer with an eye for detail and polish to help us land a redesign of our web experience, and further elevate the product post-launch.
We are looking for someone who has experience collaborating with engineers during the development phase of a product to ensure product excellence.
This role will initially be focused on landing the initial launch, and then driving end-to-end design for post-launch optimizations.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Work with engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate with them to come up with creative design solutions when technical challenges arise
Develop mockups and/or prototypes for post-launch formats and UX optimizations and effectively communicate design ideas to the team
Partner with other designers to refine design systems for adaptive layouts (designing for breakpoints that span mobile to desktop devices) and document visual patterns and components (Figma stickersheets)
Mandatory:
3 - 5+ years or experience Demonstrate a high level of craft in design systems thinking and understand what it means to design at scale.
Detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills, layout, typography and high graphic standards.
Highly proficient in Figma; able to produce digital assets, redlines/spec and drive the production phase of the design.
Experience designing adaptive web layouts.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Content Strategists and Product Managers throughout the design process
Desired:
BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in a fast paced environment with many stakeholders.
