At Emi Labs we are on a mission to increase Frontline Workers’ access to professional opportunities.

This is a 2.7 billion population that accounts for 80% of the world’s workforce. They are digitally invisible, as there’s little to no data available on who they are, their career history, or their skill set, limiting their access to professional opportunities and growth. We're here to transform this by building the infrastructure to make Frontline Workers visible.

Our first step to achieving our mission is to transform the recruiting experience into an easy, human and fair process, for both candidates and companies with high-volume job openings.

Emi, our main product, is an A.I. recruitment assistant that enables companies to engage in a conversation with each applicant to detect interested and qualified individuals while saving Recruiters a huge amount of time by automating tasks such as screening, validating skills, scheduling interviews, and collecting documents.

We were part of Y-Combinator's Winter 2019 batch and in 2022 we have raised an $11M funding round co-led by Merus Capital and Khosla Ventures.

About Strategy and Operations Team

Emi Labs' Strategy and Operations team is currently a small team, in charge of optimizing processes and providing insights to foster long term growth. We analyze data, identify the key priorities to work on, and collaborate across departments to enhance efficiency and deliver impactful results.

What you'll be doing

As a Strategy and Operations Lead you will play a pivotal role in optimizing an Emi’s efficiency and effectiveness. You will analyze data, identify opportunities, and devise strategies to enhance processes, reduce costs, and drive growth. In this role, you will also be tackling CEO level projects involving different areas with a consulting way of working and making sure that we achieve the intended impact. Collaborating with various teams, you will tackle critical projects, from financial planning to contract negotiation. You will need a hands-on approach to ensure that insights translate into tangible results. This role is vital in bridging the gap between strategy and execution, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success through data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Tasks / Activities / Sample Projects

- Owning Emi’s Financial projections and Operational Dashboard with key SaaS metrics

- Partnering with different Emi teams to solve our most critical problems (ej. capacity planning, pricing, support in GTM and value prop redesign, renegotiating contracts and redesigning team interaction processes, among others)

- Coordinating company-wide planning process, and helping prepare materials for Investors meetings

What we're looking for

- An agile problem-solver, adept at adapting to evolving business needs.

- 3+ years work experience in strongly analytical roles (e.g., consulting, investment banking, or operations/strategy/finance at a startup or fast paced company).

- Strong financial modeling skills.

- Smart, fast learner, and focused on delivering results (extensive analysis alone is not useful if it won't be put into action).

- Ability to partner with different business stakeholders to analyze and solve our most critical problems and unlock the key bottlenecks at each specific moment in time.

- Hands-on: willingness to 'get your hands dirty'
