Senior DevOps Engineer

Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, who will work with a team of developers and engineers building infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, but your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.

Responsibilities

*Responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to support the automated deployment of products and services.
*Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
*Develop and maintain Helm charts and Helm Templates for Kubernetes deployments.
*Work in a hybrid environment, managing both VMs and AWS Cloud infrastructure.
*Automate processes using Python and Shell scripting to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
*Enhance observability and monitoring using tools like Prometheus, PagerDuty, and other monitoring solutions.
*Ensure containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, implementing best practices for orchestration.
*Scale out and improve monitoring capabilities for applications and infrastructure.
*Troubleshoot system and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Technical Requirements

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
*5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and release management.
*5+ years of experience building and managing a CI/CD pipeline environment (GitLab CI preferred).
*3+ years of Linux experience in a development context.
*2+ years of DevOps experience within AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, RDS, ELB).
*Strong experience with Kubernetes, including Helm and Helm Templates for managing deployments.
*Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
*Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation tasks.
*Experience deploying web and/or mobile applications to QA, staging, and production environments.
*Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., PagerDuty, Prometheus).
*Hands-on experience working in hybrid environments with both VMs and AWS Cloud.
*Expert knowledge of Git strategies and source code management.
*Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members and cross-functional teams.
*Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, solving complex problems efficiently.
