Mid QA Automation Engineer
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Mid QA Automation Engineer, who will work with a team of engineers building and testing our client’s web application. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.
Responsibilities
*Define and implement test automation strategies, including tools, frameworks, and roadmaps.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective testing strategies that meet and exceed quality standards.
*Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications, APIs, and other software products.
*Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
*Perform both manual and automated test execution to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.
*Actively work with development teams to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
*Focus on early bug detection by refining acceptance criteria and performing requirements analysis.
*Provide feedback to development teams to improve quality and advocate for best practices.
*Monitor the software development process to ensure compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations.
*Proactively seek to improve QA processes to enhance product quality and release efficiency.
*Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
*Mentor and guide junior QA team members in best practices and technical solutions.
*Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall development of quality standards.
*Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and testing.
Technical Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
*3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
*Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
*Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing, and scripting languages like Python.
*Experience testing REST-based APIs and automating API tests.
*Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
*Proven experience with Agile development methodologies.
*Highly developed bug reporting and bug-tracking system expertise.
*Solid knowledge of performance testing, security testing, and cross-browser/cross-platform testing.
*Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and train junior team members.
*Track record of monitoring and reporting key quality metrics.
