About the Role:

We are looking for an adventurous, passionate, and accomplished Principal Industrial designer with world class design sensibility to join our design team in Shenzhen, China.

The right candidate loves music as we do, brings a fresh perspective on design & innovation and has the ability to understand and translate latest fashion, interior and cultural design trends into iconic product experiences for Harman’s iconic brands, including JBL, Harman Kardon and AKG.

You will take a lead role with hands-on responsibilities working in a very fast-paced, collaborative environment. You understand that great design can amplify the lives of real people and how this builds a strong brand. As a key member of the design team, your role will involve overseeing the strategic product design for the brand.

What You Will Do

• Understanding the project requirements and conceptualizing creative ideas.
• Drive the style and feel of the video
• Support packaging render (Product image render)
• Modeling, texturing, lighting needed assets and environments
• Rendering animations and Photo real image
• Knowledge in Realtime rendering engine is a big plus
• Work with the marketing team to deliver innovative product 3D animation for online promotion in different platform such as Behance, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, etc.  

What You Need:

• 8+ years of experience in the relevant field with an impressive portfolio to prove it.
• Knowledge of Octane Render and render passes.
• Solid understanding of After Effects.
• Has a strong composition, color and typography understanding.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work as a part of the team in the pipeline.
• Strong knowledge in texturing, lighting and rendering.
• Solid knowledge of nCloth, nParticles and Bifrost.
• High level of proficiency in Autodesk Maya, C4D or Blender.
• The ability to work seamlessly with leaders across functions.
• Ability to multi-task many projects and products at once.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• Love for Design & Music, Passionate all things music related.
• An outgoing character with an excellent sense of humor.
