About the Role

As the National Director of Field Therapy Development, you will lead the strategy and execution of CellFX business plans for the MIS Market applications. This role is responsible for the successful market launch, penetration and procedural growth of the CellFX System to ensure best-in-class adoption and utilization.  Key responsibilities include hiring and overseeing the therapy development team, managing sales forecasting, quota setting, sales process optimization, product pricing, incentive plan design and target market strategies. Success in this role requires cross-functional coordination to drive early adoption among key opinion leaders and expand clinical evidence supporting the CellFX system and Percutaneous device. Additionally, this position is responsible for building the necessary infrastructure to establish product preference and provide clinical case support for broad adoption. The Director will also identify the challenges, issues, and opportunities during the early commercialization, providing senior management with insight to drive widespread market adoption.

You’ll Make an Impact By:

  • Driving the Percutaneous initial launch plan, including account targeting, staffing for clinical case coverage, testing and refining the value proposition and product positioning, development of clinical data to support safety and efficacy.
  • Building and managing a high-performing Field Therapy Development organization to drive and achieve utilization growth for each installed unit.
  • Meeting or exceeding established utilization goals through the development and management of effective channels, relationships, and direct sales efforts as assigned.
  • Managing responsibilities for all aspects of customer relationship management, including the planning, organizing, and implementing all sales management activities related to driving procedural utilization with high accountability for achieving the adoption and utilization goals. 
  • Driving research to determine product pipeline priority for applications in the MIS market.
  • Collaborating with Clin/Reg on mechanism to review, prioritizing and selecting clinical research programs that support clinical evidence consistent with company objectives.
  • Coordinating with Scientific Advisory Board Chair and other key advisors on strategies to create CellFX System exposure at society meetings.
  • Developing training content for clinical team and physicians relative to the application and use of the company’s product in collaboration with training team. 
  • Building and supporting strong relationships with key opinion leaders and physician society leadership.
  • Establishing protocol and mechanism to support physician-initiated research studies in areas of strategic interest to the company.
  • Defining and developing product or procedural tools that customers may use to improve procedural efficiency and/or patient care for targeted procedures (i.e. in-service materials, checklists, case report forms, & registries).
  • Establishing physician panels and/or advisory boards to provide insights into product opportunities/ enhancements, educational opportunities, procedural trends, pending reimbursement changes, emerging clinical science, competitive threats, and any other topics that may be inputs to the company’s commercial strategy.
  • Fostering a culture of cross-functional collaboration, continuous learning, and integrity within the organization.
  • Managing budget, allocating key resources to achieve best ROI opportunities. Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Completing administrative responsibilities including periodic business plans, weekly expense reports, up-to-date account profiles, and customer database.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of the industry and competitive products.
  • Developing and maintaining supportive, productive and effective relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Managing responsibilities for planning and execution of sales and marketing events including regional workshops with host country business partners or independently as needed.
  • Participating in industry-related trade shows/meetings.
  • Complying with the Company’s quality system requirements as well as any applicable regulatory requirements and all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and work practices.
  • Providing training, support, and leadership to business partners with product knowledge, sales skills and strong regional customer relationships to successfully meet sales and marketing objectives.
  • Working closely with marketing to create and implement initiatives that will support growth and sales goals. 

To Excel, You’ll Bring: 

  • BA/BS required or equivalent experience, with a preference for a biology, chemistry, engineering, or related healthcare background.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience with documented leadership experience in the medical device industry, preferably with products in the MIS market.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated success directly building, motivating, managing high performing teams.
  • Track record of leading sales in surgical medical devices, preferably with capital/disposable business experience.
  • Experience in building and leveraging strong customer and KOL relationships. 
  • Excellent oral written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with key opinion leader community.  
  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration in product development, product launch, procedure development, clinical research development, and clinical manuscript development. 
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, strong planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong sales and financial acumen. Mastering complexity.
  • Ability to develop and critically analyze a sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Results oriented with demonstrated success meeting and exceeding quota with experience bringing innovative products to market. 
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to physicians, management and/or large groups.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand and communicate the attributes and qualities of Company products using professional selling and closing skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent the Company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to use word processing and database applications, and various software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SalesForce.com.  Proficient knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Valid driver’s license; Good driving record; All sales employees are required to drive a personal vehicle for company business; This vehicle is to be in good condition and well maintained; All requirements described in the company’s Automobile Allowance/Reimbursement Policy are always to be met.
  • Ability to travel adequately to cover entire region including overnight stays, attend tradeshows, and corporate and training meetings.
  • Home office capability is required with reliable high-speed internet access.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time. Overnight and/or international travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
