Job Summary:

Join Our Team as an M&A Relationship Manager

Job Description:

Volaris is seeking a passionate and results-driven Mergers & Acquisitions Relationship & Business Development Manager to support the growth of our ANZ & SEA software portfolio. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you’ll represent a trusted acquirer that business leaders want to work with - as a permanent acquirer of software companies, you’ll have the unique opportunity to connect with owners & founders who are eager to partner with us in the acquisition of their business.

As part of one of the largest and most respected acquisitions leaders in the region - Constellation Software, you will:

  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships with business founders, C-Suite executives, and investors.

  • Collaborate with a professional team to acquire mid-market software businesses valued >$5M+ AUD.

  • Be challenged with dynamic, high-impact acquisition projects in the software industry.

We promote a flexible work arrangement, including a remote work force.  This position reports directly to the Manager, Corporate Development.  You will work with talented and supportive colleagues locally and overseas and as a result may need to attend meetings that are sometimes outside the usual 9 to 5 day.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Development – Proactively identify and pursue new acquisition targets. Leverage creative outreach strategies and persistence to connect with business owners and build a robust opportunity pipeline.

  • Strategic Relationship Building – Develop, influence and nurture multi-year relationships with software company owners. Demonstrate Volaris' unique permanent ownership value proposition to build trusting and lasting partnerships.

  • Deal Qualification – Apply business acumen and research skills to evaluate acquisition prospects against Volaris' investment criteria. Partner with Manager, Corporate Development and the rest of the team to advance high-potential opportunities.

  • Team Contribution & Individual KPI Achievement – Drive individual KPIs while having the ability to work cross-functionally to contribute to collective success. Share market intelligence and best practices to strengthen team performance. Drive consistent growth in qualified opportunities and enhance relationships across target verticals.

  • Geographic Focus: Primarily Australia & New Zealand; but also Southeast Asian markets.

Ideal Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Open to Non-Conventional M&A Backgrounds: We value relationship-building skills, drive, passion, and professionalism over a traditional finance background. If you’re excited about creating meaningful connections and driving impactful outcomes, we encourage you to apply - even if your experience doesn’t fit the conventional M&A mold.

  • Team-Oriented and Collaborative: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • 3+ years of proven success in B2B relationship development

  • Analytical Thinker: Capable of lateral and critical thinking to solve complex problems

  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage C-suite executives and business owners

  • Ability to demonstrate proactive opportunity sourcing and pipeline building

  • Capable of end-to-end execution and management of complex, multi-faceted deals

  • Self-motivated with high resilience and proven ability to overcome challenges

  • Experience in strategic outbound business development using multiple channels preferred (calls, email, LinkedIn)

  • Candidates should be based in either Australia or New Zealand.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary plus performance incentives.

  • Flexible work arrangements. The ability to work autonomously while being part of something global.

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision).

  • Career growth opportunities within a global technology organization.
