Volaris is seeking a passionate and results-driven Mergers & Acquisitions Relationship & Business Development Manager to support the growth of our ANZ & SEA software portfolio. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you’ll represent a trusted acquirer that business leaders want to work with - as a permanent acquirer of software companies, you’ll have the unique opportunity to connect with owners & founders who are eager to partner with us in the acquisition of their business.
As part of one of the largest and most respected acquisitions leaders in the region - Constellation Software, you will:
Build meaningful, long-term relationships with business founders, C-Suite executives, and investors.
Collaborate with a professional team to acquire mid-market software businesses valued >$5M+ AUD.
Be challenged with dynamic, high-impact acquisition projects in the software industry.
We promote a flexible work arrangement, including a remote work force. This position reports directly to the Manager, Corporate Development. You will work with talented and supportive colleagues locally and overseas and as a result may need to attend meetings that are sometimes outside the usual 9 to 5 day.
Core Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development – Proactively identify and pursue new acquisition targets. Leverage creative outreach strategies and persistence to connect with business owners and build a robust opportunity pipeline.
Strategic Relationship Building – Develop, influence and nurture multi-year relationships with software company owners. Demonstrate Volaris' unique permanent ownership value proposition to build trusting and lasting partnerships.
Deal Qualification – Apply business acumen and research skills to evaluate acquisition prospects against Volaris' investment criteria. Partner with Manager, Corporate Development and the rest of the team to advance high-potential opportunities.
Team Contribution & Individual KPI Achievement – Drive individual KPIs while having the ability to work cross-functionally to contribute to collective success. Share market intelligence and best practices to strengthen team performance. Drive consistent growth in qualified opportunities and enhance relationships across target verticals.
Geographic Focus: Primarily Australia & New Zealand; but also Southeast Asian markets.

3+ years of proven success in B2B relationship development
Analytical Thinker: Capable of lateral and critical thinking to solve complex problems
Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage C-suite executives and business owners
Ability to demonstrate proactive opportunity sourcing and pipeline building
Capable of end-to-end execution and management of complex, multi-faceted deals
Self-motivated with high resilience and proven ability to overcome challenges
Experience in strategic outbound business development using multiple channels preferred (calls, email, LinkedIn)
Candidates should be based in either Australia or New Zealand.
