About the Role
As a Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing systems that power institutional trading platforms. You’ll engineer scalable backend components, enhance client-requested tools, and architect data solutions to enrich trading operations, all while ensuring seamless communication within our tech infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Form a thorough understanding of backend technologies supporting institutional trading platforms.
Create reusable backend components compatible across multiple trading front-ends.
Architect solutions to maximize scalability between trading infrastructure and frontends.
Optimize market data communication between web-based technology and on-premise trading systems.
Build and enhance tools based on client-specific requests to improve user experience.
Collaborate with the data team to enrich market data with insightful, correlated data events.
Develop solutions utilizing Microservices architecture, Java Spring framework, REST/WebSocket APIs, and Docker.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
8+ years of experience in Core Java with proven expertise in:
Multi-threaded development and synchronization patterns.
Non-allocating development principles.
Standard collections and advanced sorting/search algorithms.
Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and performance-oriented system design principles.
Proficient in Java Spring framework, REST APIs, WebSocket APIs, and Docker.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within trading and data-driven environments.
Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
