Job description

This is a remote position.

Our client is seeking skilled ETL Consultants to join our HCM team, specializing in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, with a focus on SQL and integration with Workday and Workforce platforms. Required strong experience in ETL workflows, data mapping, and working with HR systems to ensure seamless data flow between platforms

 

• Data Extraction & Transformation:
o Design, develop, and manage ETL processes to extract data from multiple sources.
o Perform data transformation using SQL and other ETL tools to align with Workday and Workforce data models.
o Optimize complex SQL queries and ensure high performance during large data transfers.
• Data Loading & Integration:
o Perform data loads into Workday and Workforce systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with system standards.
o Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to coordinate data migration and ensure seamless integration.
o Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Data Quality & Validation:
o Implement robust data validation checks and reconciliation processes post-load.
o Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business needs.
• Process Documentation & Support:
o Document ETL workflows, data mapping, and technical specifications.
o Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ETL processes, including resolving data issues and system errors.
o Recommend and implement improvements for ETL efficiency and data quality.



Requirements

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in ETL development and data migration.
• Strong expertise in SQL (including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning).
• Hands-on experience with Workday and/or Workforce data structures and integration processes.
• Experience with ETL tools such as SQL or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of HR data models and payroll systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications in Workday Integration or related ETL technologies.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations and data migration best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
