The Senior Software Engineer within the Product Engineering team plays a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and reliable cloud-based solutions that drive Bluebeam’s vision of a connected future. This position supports the development and optimization of technologies including AWS, Identity Systems, Public APIs, Storage, Email Delivery, and Localization, ensuring the platform’s continued success through innovative, impactful contributions.

 

About the Role: 

 

  • Participates in software design, development, testing, deployment.
  • Performs system troubleshooting to ensure high availability of platform services and resolve issues.
  • Participates in or leads design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Participates in daily standups, sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint retro meetings.
  • Documents design and code.
  • Provides status updates regularly.
  • Trains and mentors' entry level software engineers.

 

About You: 

  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience as a Backend Engineer in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3-5+ years building high-performing/data[1]intensive applications running in the Cloud
  • Development experience in Go Programming Language (GoLang)
  • Amazon AWS experience (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB, Lambda)
  • Experience implementing and Using APIs and understanding of HTTP and REST architecture
  • Experience implementing microservices and delivering to market.
  • Experience with both relational & NoSQL databases, writing Stored Procedures, Functions etc.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB/DocumentDB/MongoDB.
  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment, and related tools/pipelines/processes.
  • Experience with terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC) • Experience deploying services in containers and using container orchestration.
  • Willingness to learn and expand skills and repertoire
  • A positive mindset, team-oriented, results driven, and organized.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Customer IAM (Identity Access Management) including Single Sign On (SAML & OIDC) and SCIM

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $129,400 - $177,850
