Job description

We are seeking an experienced and independent Bookkeeper with a strong background in managing detailed financial records, including owner’s equity and expense tracking. This role requires a high level of expertise in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and Jobber, and the ability to interact professionally with clients while providing comprehensive financial reports and forecasts.

Manage and maintain owner’s equity accounts.

Create and manage detailed expense categories for accurate financial tracking.

Inputs

The bookkeeper will have to have some interactions with the client to make sure they are clear of what the expense is, what the proper categories are.

Knowledge in Freshbooks, Jobber, especially in Quickbooks

Strong knowledge in understanding invoices, how to pair expenses, debts, pay down, owner equity, owner draws, good will on a balance sheet.

1st stage Quickbook test with the client before the interview

2nd stage they'll have the interview with the client.

Match expenses to specific client invoices, ensuring accurate billing and documentation.

Produce cash flow analysis and collaborate on financial forecasting with clients and internal teams.

Oversee reconciliation work, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up to date.

Supervise bookkeeping administration, which will handle elementary transaction categorization.

Prepare and deliver weekly financial reports to clients, offering insights and recommendations.

Communicate directly with clients to discuss financial updates, answer inquiries, and provide personalized service.

Requirements

  • Extensive bookkeeping background with experience in QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and Jobber.
  • Strong knowledge of owner’s equity and its implications for financial statements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
