The Opportunity:

Kindred Bravely is looking for an Associate Merchant who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key financial metrics for their respective category with key responsibilities that include merchandising strategy, business analysis, line building, and building cross-functional relationships.

  • Understanding of retail math and financial metrics
  • Understanding of market trends and customer behavior

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years retail buying experience
  • Experience with Google docs/slides/sheets
  • Experience with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Microsoft Excel advanced functions in general
  • Experience owning a category or class
  • Experience working vertically and with design counterparts
  • Market experience

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Consistently analyze the business, providing insights to direct partners, and leadership to identify trends and opportunities. Providing sales analysis for weekly & monthly performance recaps
  • Business meeting prep to help communicate key insights to senior management
  • Run Ad hoc reporting and projects to drive category and brand business
  • Responsible for Line plan and product alignment for categories
  • Working closely with Merchant and cross-functional partners to ensure smooth execution of merchandising strategies
  • Success in this role will entail a high level of detail, ability to work well with others and ability to drive results that meet or exceed both financial and qualitative goals for the fiscal period
  • Presenting new strategies and opportunities for classifications
  • Administrative functions: Ensuring tools and systems are prepped for PO, aligning all partners have data needed to execute
  • Tracking deliverables to product pipeline, ensuring timely execution across channels
