Associate Director of Client Strategy

Who you are
We are looking for a dynamic Associate Director of Client Strategy to join Spiceworks Ziff Davis at an exciting time in our business as we bring new marketing innovations to market throughout 2025 and beyond. This person is the marketing expert in our commercial group, supporting integrated program sales, and creating marketing strategies that support the outcomes our customers want to achieve. This person plays a critical role in developing and implementing marketing concepts for customers that resonate with tech buyer audiences. They bridge the gap between product and sales, explaining products and ideas accurately, presenting recommendations that resonate with customers to drive purchase
What you’ll do
This person will assume responsibility for a long-standing Client Strategy framework Spiceworks Ziff Davis. They partner with delivery teams to ensure effective execution. As a customer-facing marketing expert, they also influence the direction of the product portfolio based on marketing trends, customer input, and the competitive intelligence.  It promises to be a year of innovation as we continue to bring new products to market across our portfolio of media, data, marketing, research, event, content and community solutions. 
What will be your responsibilities
  • Proposal Creation: Work with our sales team to translate customer business and marketing goals into strategies and programs that deliver positive customer outcomes
  • Strategic Advice: Leverage the latest proven marketing concepts that demonstrate Spiceworks Ziff Davis' credibility as a marketing leader and drive incremental revenue opportunities
  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis to identify new potential lines of business
  • Product Documentation: Collaborate with product and engineering to understand technical specifications, customer benefits, use cases and KPIs for each product
  • Product Influence: Review customer feedback and industry landscape to recommend product enhancements and new product ideas
  • Product Adoption: Provide product and customer insights that drive adoption of new products.
  • Sales Enablement: Support training as the "power user" that helps the sales team understand and sell each solution
What does it take to do this job
  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales and marketing roles, and in-depth familiarity with the buyer behavior of B2B tech audiences
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and the ability to communicate these to a non-technical audience
  • Curiosity and passion for B2B/tech marketing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data-driven, performance marketing mindset
  • Experience in market analysis and campaign development
  • Strong presentation-building skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
  • Ability to collaborate or lead cross-departmental discussions that drive decision
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (internal and external)

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,000 - $170,000, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
