Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
 Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central with an hour unpaid break

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our company. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial transactions accurately. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial data, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
 Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
 Maintain the general ledger by accurately entering all financial data, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
 Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
 Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
 Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payment collection, and disbursement of vendor payments.
 Track and manage company expenses, ensuring they are recorded appropriately.
 Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as needed.
 Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to financial reporting and record keeping.
 Collaborate with accountants during audits and tax filing periods to provide necessary financial records.

Requirements:
 At least 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping
 Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).
 Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
 Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
 Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
 An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:
 Experience in payroll management.
 Knowledge of tax preparation and filing.
 Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
