Job description

Position Overview

Indagare is seeking a Travel Planning Support representative to join our team to service our Self-Planner members, providing quick turnaround on hotel bookings, as well as weekend coverage for our Bookings team. Reporting to our Operations Manager, this position will be one of four members on the Travel Planning Support team, overlapping weekends and weekdays for a set schedule consisting of five consecutive workdays.

 

What You’ll Do

  • You must be able to work weekends (Saturday OR Sunday), as well as four weekdays.
  • Service the company’s Self Planner members, confirming hotel reservations via email, phone, and Indagare’s booking platform. 
  • Collaborate closely with Indagare’s Tech department to improve tech-enabled parts of the reservations process. 
  • Manage the company’s Live Chat functionality on the website to support booking hotel reservation requests or other travel-related questions. 
  • Help troubleshoot weekend Bookings emergencies with the support of the trip designing teams who own the client accounts. 
  • Support the Trip Designers by executing operational tasks including but not limited to data entry, itinerary creation, supplier communications, hotel reservations, and more. 
  • Take on company-wide projects and other responsibilities for the business as prioritized by the Bookings Leadership Team. 
  • Establish strong relationships with travel partners and destination experts.
  • Expand your knowledge of the travel industry and destinations via Indagare training sessions and programs to grow into various roles throughout the Bookings department
  • This position is currently remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of full-time professional experience preferred
  • A passion for travel planning and a strong desire to grow into a travel specialist
  • A natural ability to deliver excellent customer service in line with our hospitality ethos
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet key milestones on time and with quality
  • Exceptional writing and grammar skills for professional communication with both clients and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to be an effective communicator when working with others
  • Technical skills to get the job done. This includes being proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets).
  • Slack, Salesforce and Zoom experience preferred.
