Valsoft are looking for a recent graduate with a passion for finance and a keen interest in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an M&A Analyst and gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of mergers and acquisitions. As an M&A Analyst at our organization, you will be instrumental in conducting industry research, identifying prospects, and assisting the investment team with various analytical tasks and projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough due diligence assessments on target companies by analyzing complex data sets to identify crucial financial and business information.
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling to evaluate deal structures and projected performance of early-stage investment opportunities.
  • Provide execution support to deal leads through acquisition process by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing due diligence findings.
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify trends and risks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices by researching and understanding target markets and economics factors.

About You:

  • Recent graduate in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Eagerness to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and learn software business models.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
