Job description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Partnerships (Vendors) to lead our partnerships strategy at a rapidly growing payment orchestration company. With four years of proven transaction processing success, we are in an accelerated growth phase, focusing on the USA and European markets. This role will involve identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with key payment vendors, technology providers, and financial institutions to expand our ecosystem and enhance value for our clients.

Macropay is a fintech leader in payment orchestration, providing businesses with seamless access to global payment solutions for over four years. Specializing in revenue optimization, we offer card processing and alternative payment methods enhanced by smart routing, fraud prevention, and an intuitive dashboard. Backed by a team of payment and fraud experts, our all-in-one platform is designed to maximize revenue, reduce costs, and improve the payment experience—all through a single API integration.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy and Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive vendor partnership strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new payment vendors, fraud prevention providers, PSPs, and technology partners to strengthen the company's value proposition.
  • Build a robust ecosystem of partnerships to support multi-currency, multi-method, and international payment solutions, including alternative payment methods specialized in different sectors and jurisdictions.
  • Bring a known portfolio of partners from all strategic jurisdictions and verticals.
  • Implement robust reporting systems to provide actionable insights on sales performance, pipeline health, and market trends, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making for all stakeholders.

Relationship management

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners, ensuring alignment and collaboration to meet mutual goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key vendor partners, fostering trust and promoting long-term collaboration.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and manage performance metrics to ensure value delivery.
  • Represent the company in key events with partners and business development in general.

Market Insights and Collaboration

  • Stay abreast of trends in payment orchestration, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the USA and Europe.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, product) to ensure partnerships align with customer needs and enhance revenue optimization.

Growth Enablement

  • Drive joint go-to-market strategies with vendors, creating co-branded solutions or campaigns to accelerate adoption.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate vendor solutions seamlessly into the platform.

Reporting and Accountability

  • Measure and report on the performance of vendor partnerships, including ROI, customer adoption, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team to optimize the partnership portfolio.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within fintech, payments, or SaaS industries.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling vendor ecosystems in international markets, particularly the USA and Europe.
  • Experience working with payment gateways, PSPs, banks, and related financial or technical vendors.

Skills:

    • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure high-value partnerships.
    • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including trends in revenue optimization, fraud prevention, and compliance.
    • Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with payment orchestration, PSD2 regulations, PCI DSS compliance, and other industry standards.
    • Established network within the payment industry in the USA and Europe.
    • Multilingual capabilities are a plus (English required; additional languages preferred).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity to shape HR strategy for a global, innovative fintech company.
  • Professional development opportunities and resources.
