Key responsabilities:

Process 200-300 new and used vehicle deals per month accurately and timely.

Communicate effectively with upper management and various team members to ensure smooth operations.

Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is looking for a Vehicle Accountant to join our team for following hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm!

Responsibilities:

Process New and Used vehicle deals (200-300 deals per month)
Ensures all data is entered into accounting system is accurate and timely
Works with Sales Department to obtain correct required documents
Calculate commissions owed and submits to payroll
Review and reconcile accounting schedules relating to vehicle sales including but not limited to receivables, deposits and commissions payable
Communicate with upper management, various sales team members, and department managers

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience working for a dealership accounting or admin department
Understand the process and flow of a deal
Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
Understanding of balance forward and aging schedules
Experience with Dealer Management Systems; Proficient in all Microsoft suite- must know how to leverage Excel for accounting
Able to work independently while also being a collaborative, team player with a result driven approach in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, programs and methodologies, and Dealer licenses
Curiosity, creativity and effective research skills
Self-driven, analytical thinker with effective organizational and planning skills
Must maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
Experience with Excede and Arcadium
Experience with DMV documents

Compensation:

Hourly $29-$35 based on experience and qualification
Full Time position

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical
