About the Role

We're looking for an innovative and experienced Senior Executive Assistant to the GSCC Executive Director with a unique combination of skills who wants to play a major role in working on climate solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Executive Director. You'll collaborate with senior colleagues of the Executive Leadership Team and work closely with the Leadership Team Office. This team provides comprehensive strategic, administrative, project, logistical, and operational support to the global leadership structures.

How you'll contribute


  • Efficient operational coordination of the Executive Director's work portfolio, devising and maintaining systems, implementing processes and tools to achieve impact and ensure oversight of priorities and operational workload of the Executive Director.

  • Support the Executive Director on research, content development and outreach to key stakeholders, ensuring preparation and follow-up of the Executive Director's meetings, including producing briefing materials for senior stakeholders.

  • Engage with internal staff and external partners to track priorities and issues, and incorporate into the ED's strategic plan accordingly.

  • Oversee the Executive Director's email inboxes, including identifying priority emails and to-dos, ensuring follow-up is completed and drafting responses as needed.

  • Plan and advise on the best use of the Executive Director's time, manage the Executive Director's calendar and logistics, including scheduling meetings, coordinating attendees across multiple timezones and effectively handling changes.


Communication between the Executive Director's office and the Meliore CEO Office

  • Facilitate information flows with senior leadership at GSCC and Meliore.

  • Structure and manage knowledge sharing, and ensure smooth overall coordination and collaboration, such as tracking actions, convening discussion, managing collection of information to inform decision-making.

  • Support the Executive Director on engagement with other Meliore programmes.


Funder Engagement
  • Support the Executive Director on strategic partner engagement and planning, working closely with the GSCC Philanthropic Partnerships Team and the Meliore CEO Office
Administration

  • Effective management of the Executive Director's administration: plan and book international travel across the globe, including expenses & budget management

  • Provide project support where needed for projects, working groups and events owned and/or contributed to by the Executive Director

  • Collaborate with members of the Leadership Team Office on projects (e.g. team meetings, internal communications, event planning, etc.), including the contribution to a standardised delivery of excellence and reliability

  • Undertake other reasonable duties or additional projects as requested

  • Significant proven experience in a similar role, working for a busy principal, with a high level of expertise in meeting coordination and stakeholder management;

  • Excellent skills in planning, project management with outstanding prioritisation and time management skills and the flexibility to effectively deal with shifting requests;

  • Able to work independently with a proactive and hands-on attitude and creative problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to translate strategy and ideas into tangible objectives, tasks and action points;

  • Ability to work under time pressure but also take responsibility for slower-moving work pieces;

  • Excellent attention to detail, diligence and reliability;

  • Tactful with colleagues and discrete with high-level information;

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset;

  • High-quality writing skills;

  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers;

  • The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace);
