Role: The Program Manager reports to AVP, US Projects and works closely with the Program Manager of clients as well as internal and external Project Managers. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the large implementation programs are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard. They identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize the business processes and workflow; thereby participating in the achievement of the company’s goals and the satisfaction of our clients.
Your Day with Equisoft:
- Define, Develop and monitor program agreements (including but not limited to Statements of Work and Change Requests) applying Equisoft best practices and preferences
- At the Program level, across customer and internal, establish and refine governance and build strong working relationships with program Leadership, Business and IT leads
- Provide leadership and a point of escalation for Program delivery needs
- Participation and chair in steering committee meetings as needed at all levels of program leadership (including C Level discussions)
- Drive Program success through Go-Live events establishing alignment and coordinate across Program entities and phases
- Accountable for reporting on progress against commitments while proactively assessing risks and coordinating actions necessary across contributors (both internal and external) to secure successful delivery
- Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects.
- Proactively manage Program P&L by adjusting proper resource mixes, delivery velocity, change requests, and quality to ensure both budget and scope delivery success
- Manage client expectations, change management and project scope
- Represent Equisoft’s interests with clients
- Represent client’s interests with Equisoft leadership
- Monitor program progress, timelines, budgets
- Assist the customers during the program definition period; then collect and summarize the information.
- Participate, as required, in the preparation of the preliminary analysis; and coordinate all activities required for program approval.
- Plan, monitor and control the scope, the risks, the costs, the change requests, the outstanding issues, the human resources, and the communications for the whole of the program.
- Lead and coordinate the work of the program teams and assist the staff in completing the tasks.
- Promote interaction and cooperation between the customers (internal / external) and the project teams within the program.
- Maintain management indicators records on the project’s progress and control the change requests related to these projects.
- Prepare reports for PMO executive team.
Requirements:
Technical
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or a field related to financial services or insurance
- Minimum of 10 years’ combined experience in Program and Project Management
- Minimum 8 years’ experience with insurance carrier or within a Professional Services organization
- PMP and/or Scrum Master certification or equivalent
- Experience in Project Development Cycle Management
- Experience in client-facing project, not just internal initiatives
- Experience in implementation project of CRM and/or ERP
- Very good knowledge of Web Technologies/Environment
- Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industries (asset)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Available for 25% travel

- Insurance experience (preferably in Life/Annuities)
