Through a collaborative approach, the Human Resource Consultant will provide client companies with consultation and advice on matters typically assigned to the Human Resource function. This position provides tactical fundamental Human Resource support to all levels of the client’s management team; the consultant will deal with organizational issues including employee relations, employment law, policies and procedures, harassment, discrimination, and matters of compliance.
Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Consultation - Strategically partner with clients to understand their needs, providing consultative support, tailored HR solutions, and recommendations to expand services and drive additional revenue.
HR Management & Compliance - Oversee outsourced HR services, including employee relations, policy development, training, compliance updates, HR audits, handbook services, and best practice deployment.
Client Service & Communication - Deliver high-quality, responsive client service through timely responses to inquiries, proactive communication, and the preparation of compliance materials, client alerts, and marketing content.
Project & Program Management - Ensure efficient management of HR projects, including open enrollment compliance, webinars, client outreach, and the NYSAIS Consortium, while maintaining timely and effective deliverables.
Collaboration & Business Development - Work closely with the Director of HRC on proposals, contracts, and service expansions, while supporting business growth through networking, events, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of Human Resources experience, OR
Eight (8) years of experience in the HR field, OR
Any similar combination of education and experience.
Proficient with NY HR regulations
