Summary: We are looking for a skilled Construction Estimator with Quantity Surveying experience who has previously worked with Australian clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing cost estimates for various construction projects.

About the Job

Key Duties:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze and interpret client requirements and site conditions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy in estimating.
• Conduct site visits and monitor project progress to make adjustments to estimates as necessary.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations.
• Assist in preparing tender documentation and participate in bid presentations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and pricing, especially within the Australian construction market.

Skills and Experience

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Strong background in Quantity Surveying.
• Familiarity with Australian construction standards and practices.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with Australian clients.
• Experience with cost estimating software, ideally Nexvia.
