Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, be proactive, and have a proven track record in financial reporting, reconciliation, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform multiple and complex bank reconciliations on a regular basis
Prepare financial statements for Controller review, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial integrity
Strong General Ledger (GL) knowledge, with the ability to identify and verify the accuracy of GL accounts
Manage Fixed Asset processes, including asset disposals, additions, and improvements
Handle heavy journal entries, including intercompany billings
Analyze and verify accruals throughout the year, ensuring appropriate adjustments (e.g., Property Tax, Bonus accruals)
Demonstrate experience in heavy balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Take ownership of fixed asset management and related accounting processes
Independently identify discrepancies and proactively find solutions
Cross-train in various accounting roles and fill in when needed to support the team

Required Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar accounting position
Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Flexibility to be cross-trained and assist with various accounting responsibilities as needed
