About the Role

Abnormal Security is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team to define, develop, and deploy the foundations of our analytics stack. Day to day, you’ll help manage our end to end stack – data pipelines, data warehouse, data modeling layer, and business intelligence. You’ll be a highly collaborative partner to enable analytics at scale and set this hyper growth company up for success.

What you will do

Partner with clients of Data Engineering to design and maintain reliable data models and visualizations that allow for seamless reporting and analysis.
Optimize data warehousing processes by enhancing existing data models, building net new models and implementing best practices for data quality testing.
Empower end users throughout the company to independently explore and answer data-related questions using well-organized and intuitive datasets.
Implement cataloging and documentation best practices in order to raise data literacy and adoption of our data products across the company.

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical field
6+ years of experience as an Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent experience
Expertise in SQL and advanced knowledge of at least one scripting or statistical programming language (Python, R)
Strong understanding of analytical data-warehousing concepts
Ability to write clear documentation and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical users
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, unblock, flag risks, and push progress forward
Experience working in relational data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, DLT or SQLMesh
Experience with Extract and Load tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte or custom Python scripting

Nice to Have

Finance or Sales and Marketing Analytics related experience

Base salary range:

$178,500—$210,000 USD
