Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Talent Development will lead the strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of talent development initiatives for Help at Home. This role will oversee learning and development for healthcare operations staff, leadership and career development programs, performance management systems, talent management processes, and succession planning strategies to ensure a robust talent pipeline and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Learning & Development:
  • Design and implement scalable training programs primarily tailored to front-line healthcare professionals and operational leaders
  • Assess and continuously improve onboarding curriculum/experience in high volume roles
  • Implement core leadership development basics and more advanced offerings to support all levels of leadership
  • Develop leadership pipelines through mentoring, coaching, and targeted development programs for high-potential employee
  • Establish key employee development metrics overall and tied to specific flagship experiences
  • Shape and build a stronger performance support strategy with more accessible, on-demand resources that best serve our caregivers and operational leaders
Performance Management:
  • Oversee performance management process and linkages to annual rewards cycles
  • Help drive a culture of accountability and continuous feedback
  • Lead transition or performance management processes to Workday
Talent Management & Succession Planning:
  • Identify critical roles and develop succession plans to ensure seamless transitions in leadership and key positions.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess talent readiness and address skill gaps.
  • Create clear career path structure to motivate employees towards progression towards high, impact leadership roles within Operations
  • Evaluate career development solutions to build stronger general management/market level leadership with key cross functional experience

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in HR, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent development and L&D leadership within large organizations, preferably in high, volume Operations environments (health care, retail, or customer service).
  • Proven success in designing leadership development programs, managing performance systems, and implementing succession plans.
  • Experience designing talent assessment and a system of development practices to drive purposeful development through experience
  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner closely to understand role design, performance, and skill implications
  • Strong learning needs analysis experience
  • Talent assessment process leadership and experience driving solutions and processes to strengthen succession pipelines
  • Track record of creative, high impact learning solutions that scale and deliver measurable results
  • Experience in leading performance management, ideally with some exposure to Workday
  • Effective and seasoned people leader
