Software Developer

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling support issues reported by clients, fixing identified issues, report writing, and participating in code reviews. The Software Developer will work on various projects within the department, manage tasks within the ticketing system, and create and maintain automated testing. Experience with Linux, SQL, C code, Python, and JavaScript is ideal.

Key Responsibilities

• Code bug fixes as identified by leadership, including C code, JavaScript, or SQL.

• Report writing in SQL, including changes to existing reports or creating new reports based on client requests.

• Perform code reviews of peer code changes and participate in weekly hotfix reviews.

• Create and maintain automated tests for newly developed features and bug fixes.

• Manage tickets assigned within the ticketing system, ensuring timely progress.

• Collaborate with various teams within the department and adhere to all MIE/EH policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Education:

  • At least 1 year of college or relevant software development/support experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Experience:

  • Experience with Linux command line (Fedora, RedHat, CentOS).

  • Proficiency in C code, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

  • Experience with SQL writing.

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite.

• Skills:

  • Active listening skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage personal workload.
