We are looking for an outstanding, product-minded Software Engineer in Athens or remote, to join our Core Product team and help us on our exciting and ambitious growth journey and play a critical role in scaling Simpler.

This position is open for applicants with substantial experience in designing and deploying sufficiently complex software applications with a preference for working in web front-ends.

What will you do?

Lead the front-end chapter of Simpler by evaluating and extending architecture, practices and tooling, as well as collaborating & mentoring other team members.
Design, Evaluate, Monitor & Extend the architecture & design of front-end applications in Simpler, with a focus on maintainability, robustness, and agility.
Own features from design to deployment, evaluating trade-offs between development speed and robustness.
Collaborate with the Product team in the design of end-to-end software solutions to enable and enhance the company’s offerings.

Preferred Skills

You have extensive experience with Javascript/Typescript & Core Web APIs. You have sufficient experience in React, even if it is not your framework of choice.
You value core programming principles, paradigms & design patterns over trends and can evaluate trade-offs between different approaches to ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance.
You feel confident in your ability to jump into legacy codebases and steer their evolution while maintaining compatibility & product velocity.
You’ve written your fair share of automated tests and cannot imagine a codebase without extensive test coverage
You are comfortable with Linux, Docker & Front-End Observability tools.
