Commercial Credit Underwriter

Small Business Lending, LLC. is looking to add a Commercial Credit Underwriter to its team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned as needed)

• Review and analyze loan application documents for completeness, creditworthiness and compliance
• Prepare detailed credit memorandums that include financial analysis, repayment ability calculation, industry research and forecasts, collateral analysis, management structure, projections analysis, and guarantor reviews
• Conduct underwriting calls with borrowers
• Coordinate and incorporate 3rd party reports into the credit analysis
• Review tax returns and tax transcripts as part of credit due diligence
• Prepare approval letters
• Review and compile loan modifications as required until a loan closes
• Review and address credit approval conditions and covenants
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality and compliance
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in credit analysis and underwriting of C&I and CRE commercial loans, SBA 7A and/or 504 Credit & Underwriting experience preferred.
• Formal bank Credit Training Program or RMA Credit Courses.
• Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required
• Keen analytical, and decision-making skills are required
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
  
  

Education And Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics and/or Economics

Salary Range: $80,000 to $130,000 annually subject to relevant experience
