We’re excited to announce an opportunity for talented Employee Benefits Advisor to join our team here at Benefiz. This opportunity has been created following the takeover of Benefiz by Towergate Employee Benefits, part of Ardonagh. You will be responsible for delivery of advisory employee benefit services and management of a portfolio of clients.
Benefiz is an award-winning independent workplace adviser, helping employers of all sizes offer benefits to their employees. We provide support to our clients typically with broking benefits, communicating benefits and administering benefits.
What does an Employee Benefits Advisor here do?
Responsibilities
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following and more:
- Serve as the main client contact, organising and participating in meetings, including annual reviews and pension governance meetings with clients.
- Prepare and review reports, presentations and client communications.
- Develop fee revenue by maintaining client relationships, promoting new services and identifying cross-referral opportunities.
- Maintain records on client databases and internal systems.
- Oversee specific client projects, including implementation of new benefits.
- Supporting in attaining new clients, where appropriate.
- Assist our Client Directors on larger clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and providers.
What are we looking for in our next Employee Benefits Advisor?
The Successful Candidate Must Demonstrate Experience And Success With Advising Employee Benefit Services And Also Able To Demonstrate a Good Technical Knowledge Across a Range Of Product And Service Areas. As Well As This, You Will Need To Have
- Ideally hold at least one professional pension qualification.
- Experience working in a remote team environment.
- A commercial awareness and ability to negotiate fees effectively.
- Have a technical knowledge in the following advisory areas: group protection, group healthcare, workplace pensions and voluntary benefits. Benefits technology would be advantageous.
- Experience working confidently handling client interactions and managing expectations.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Strong presentation and organisation skills.
