Responsibilities
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking an experienced and motivated
Software Lead to join the PAS Cyber Integrity team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about software design, team mentorship, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions. As a Software Lead you will guide a small development team and participate in the design, development, documentation, and support of software solutions that meet strategic business requirements and industry standards. The Software Lead works with the Product Owner in User Story definition, Use Case refinement, and Work Process Diagram validation. This position requires strong technical expertise and a sharp focus on leadership which fosters team collaboration and individual contribution.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as a technical expert and coach for the Development team, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance coding practices and solution architecture.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to align on requirements and prioritize development activities based on business needs.
- Development & Testing
- Lead the team in writing, managing, and optimizing code to improve functionality and ensure quality.
- Perform unit testing to verify that applications meet defined requirements, ensuring smooth deployment and integration of new features.
- Solution Design
- Leverage deep expertise to design and develop new features, improving the scalability, functionality, and security of the software.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of existing solutions, proactively identifying areas for enhancement and streamlining workflows to meet mission-critical standards.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate project objectives, provide updates, and ensure alignment on feature design.
- Adapt to various stages of the release cycle and support the team in producing robust, well-documented software solutions.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, with at least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- A minimum of one year of team leadership experience.
- Expert in object-oriented programming with skills in C#, VB.NET, VB Script, jQuery, and Kendo UI.
- Solid understanding of database design and SQL language.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git (or similar version control system).
- Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) methodologies and experience working in collaborative, team-oriented environments.
- Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
- This position is remote within the United States, with preference for candidates in the CST or EST time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing applications for industrial engineering contexts.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and associated standards.
- Background in unit testing frameworks, such as NUnit.
- Knowledge of Windows networking and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Wix and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
