Job Description

Enabling Keysight growth and maximizing operational excellence, this Finance Business Intelligence Data Engineer position is focused on the development of finance operational reporting, analytics and insights as well as support of Finance BI processes and project management.

The position is part of Finance and BI Initiatives and Solutions (FBIS) team and it requires a strong team player who is able to perform independently while staying tightly connected with the geographically distributed team.

The position requires a combination of hands-on BI-related technical skills, financial data flow and process knowledge as well as project management experience.

Responsibilities

Primary Role:

  • Partner closely with the Finance teams, understand their data needs and address those with intelligent data solutions developed in partnership with the IT organization in a timely and sustainable fashion
  • Hands on, write ETL code to deliver highest level of integrity, scalable data solutions that tell a story and provide insights to the users, enabling them to make better decisions and operate more efficiently
  • Manage BI backlog, release schedules and milestones along all stages of development life cycle, coordinating across multiple teams
  • Maintain highest levels of development practices including: design, development, configurations, testing documentation/execution, support of issue identification and resolution
  • Ensure the integrity of data by establishing and executing data quality verification procedures
  • Design, develop and maintain data security and ensure consistency of data security for all existing and new tools, datasets and reports
  • Support Keysight POR projects by ensuring existing Finance reporting continuity and by developing new BI solutions dictated by the POR
  • Work proactively on increasing user adoption by creating and maintaining data dictionaries, catalogues, delivering user training

Technical Skills And Experience

  • Advanced sql knowledge with focus on reporting/BI/ETL sql best practices - must have
  • Advanced BI datamodeling skills - must have
  • Hands-on experience in BI tools/databases - must have:
  • Snowflake or similiar
  • Incorta, Denodo or similar
  • Microstrategy and Tableau or similar
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Understanding of reporting, data mining, data analytics and data visualizations (dashboarding and storytelling) - must have to a degree that allows for best backend development
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP (EBS and Cloud, GL, AR, AP, Intercompany, Manufacturing, Order Management, Subscriptions etc.) table structures and data flows is a plus
  • Understanding of financial consolidations tools (such as Onestream) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Zuora RevPro is a plus
  • Experience in Data security, standards setting, governance, cataloguing and dictionaries best practices is a plus

Previous work experience such as Business Intelligence Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Reporting Lead, Financial Analyst would be relevant to this position.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or other data/reporting environments, ideally supporting Snowflake, Incorta and Microstrategy applications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience

Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

Colorado pay range: MIN $128,670.00, MIDPOINT $171,550.00 - MAX $214,440.00

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
