Job description

Title of Role: Retail Media Manager

Department: Marketing 

 

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Retail Media Manager to join our Marketing team to lead the development and execution of advertising strategies on retail media networks (such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) to ensure alignment with our overall business and marketing goals.

 

The Retail Media Manager is responsible for driving strategy, management and optimization of retail media efforts to drive revenue growth, increase brand visibility, and enhance consumer engagement. This position will have a deep expertise in retail advertising ecosystems (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, Instacart, etc.), executing successful campaigns across multiple channels.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:                               

Retail Media Strategy and Management                                                                               80% of time

  • Develop and execute integrated retail media strategies that consider Amazon and retail media networks (e.g., Walmart Media Group, Target Roundel, Instacart, etc.) to meet overall ecommerce and retail marketing goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of campaigns across retail media platforms. This includes keyword research, bidding strategies, budget management, and continuous optimization for performance improvement. 
  • Drive A/B testing and experimentation across retail media platforms to continually improve campaign performance, exploring new advertising formats, audience targeting, and creative approaches. 
  • Manage and allocate advertising spend effectively across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other retail platforms, ensuring that spending aligns with revenue goals and performance metrics for each platform. 

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration                                                              20% of time

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including digital commerce, creative, and brand teams to align advertising efforts with product launches, seasonal promotions, and overall brand strategies across our retail partners.
  • Collaborate with content and digital commerce teams to ensure product listings are optimized for both organic and paid visibility, ensuring alignment with keyword strategies for retail search. 
  • Present performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in advertising tools, features, and best practices, as well as trends and innovations in other retail media networks. Recommend new strategies, tactics, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the retail media space. 

 

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience managing retail media campaigns across retail platforms. Experience with sponsored products, brands, display, and Amazon DSP is required. 
  • Preferred experience in Consumer Packaging Goods (CPG)
  • Strong knowledge of other retail media networks such as Walmart Media Group, Target Roundel, and Instacart
  • Solid understanding of retail media ecosystems, algorithms, and paid search strategies
  • Familiarity with key performance metrics for retail media, including ACoS, ROAS, CPC, and CTR
  • Knowledge of ecommerce best practices, including keyword optimization, audience targeting, and competitive analysis across retail media platforms
  • Experience in using retail media reporting and analytics tools
