As a Structural Engineer your main responsibility will be in project design and plan preparation, review submittals, RFIs and conduct site observations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Expanding the company’s engineering breadth by growing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Collects and prepares data/information and performs engineering calculations.
  • Responsible for producing CAD drawings that are of high quality being consistent, complete and accurate.
  • Develops technical specifications & data sheets.
  • Assists in field work including checking installations, performing inspections, and other problem-solving activities.
  • Performs calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews.
  • Interacts with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
  • Knowledgeable in the design of structural systems including foundation (matt, pile, slab-on-grade), framing design, bearing wall, roof design, specialized systems, calculations, specification writing.
  • Confers with project staff for resourcing availability.
  • Coordination between all A/E disciplines on a project.
  • Ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Construction administration, shop drawings review, response to request for information

Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • PE (Preferred) or EIT registered (Required).
  • Professional experience in the A/E field required.
  • Available to travel, as needed, dependent upon specific project assignments. 15% of time reserved for travel. 
  • Diversified experience is preferred, such as concrete, tilt-up, wood, steel framed structures as well as low-rise and mid-rise.
  • Experience with RAM and Enercalc is required.
  • Experience with Woodworks, SAP2000 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Position only available to candidates residing in EST and CST time zones.
