Platform Engineer

UK – Remote | Permanent | Full-Time

Bauer Media Audio is on a mission to revolutionise how millions engage with digital audio across mobile, web, and voice-connected devices. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to help us build and optimise client-agnostic back-end systems that power our global audio platforms.

 

💡 What You’ll Do

🔹 Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance back-end systems for seamless audio streaming.
🔹 Collaborate with product and tech teams to align with international market needs.
🔹 Champion the "you build it, you run it" DevOps model, taking full ownership of the services you create.
🔹 Optimise AWS-hosted environments and leverage Cloudflare CDN for peak performance.
🔹 Work in an agile, fast-paced setting, ensuring our digital platforms are scalable and future-proof.

 

🎯 What You Bring

2-5 years’ experience in software development, ideally in media or audio streaming.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Cloudflare, SQL, API design, and DevOps principles.
Hands-on experience with at least one modern programming language.
Understanding of security best practices (OWASP, encryption, cross-site security, etc.).
A problem-solver with an eye for performance tuning and debugging.
Agile mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
