Title: Associate Manager Content Configuration

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Content Engineer I configures content solutions for P&C core systems processing for moderate complexity Agile stories and may create or assist in the creation of a conceptual design/architecture for small scale configurations solutions using the Duck Creek toolset. Reads and interprets rules and requirements from standard organizations and converts them into configuration requirements.

  • Configures content solutions for low to moderate complexity Agile stories with some direction from a more senior content engineer

  • Reads and interprets moderate complexity rules and requirements from standards organizations like ISO, NCCI, AAIS, etc., converting these into configuration requirements

  • Debugs and resolves moderate complexity configuration bugs or issues with some direction from more senior content engineers, making sure to find the real root cause and provides a fix without collateral damage

  • Writes automated unit and integration-level tests with direction from other team members

  • Follows development standards and effectively demonstrate content solutions to other developers in code reviews.  Performs code reviews on moderate to complex upgrades

  • Performs basic source code management tasks at the direction of more senior content engineers

  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE: 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science; or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Business; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement

  • Total Work Experience:  6 years minimum, 10+ years (software development) preferred

  • Product Experience: 4 years minimum, 6+ years preferred

  • Domain Experience: 4 years minimum, 6+ years preferred

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

Expert in:

  • XML Document Design

  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance Lines of Business (Commercial Auto, General Liability, etc.)

  • Expert in at least 1 Line of Business

  • Use Analytical thinking to break down and work through situations or problems

Proficient in:

  • XSLT Document Design

  • XPath Querying

  • Writing high-performance code

  • Insurance Domain Knowledge

  • Utilize Content Development Standards & Best Practices

  • Technical Writing skills

  • Ability to estimate coding efforts

  • Source Code Management

  • Knowledge of Relational Database Designs

  • Understanding of Agile Methodology

  • Ability to apply Root Cause Analysis during the development cycle

  • Ability to manage time to effectively meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate independently with some guidance

  • Ability to communicate well within a team environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Customers

  • Ability to use and/or configure:
