We are helping our client, a Video Game Developer and Publisher hire an Application Engineer III for Jira. You will join a multi-functional team that collaborates to administer and support numerous communications, knowledge, and work management tools.
As a Jira Solution Architect, your role will be to design, build, and maintain work systems on the Jira Cloud platform in order to help the teams leverage the full potential of the Jira Cloud platform to support their work. You will achieve this by working with skilled and passionate teammates, as well as trusted partners inside and outside our client.
Responsibilities:
- Intake requests for new work systems, meet with stakeholders to understand their requirements
- Iterate on work systems prototypes, gathering and integrating feedback from stakeholders
- Deploy work systems from sandbox to production environment, performing various Change Management activities
- Review, adjust, and carry out modifications requested by users for the transformation of their existing work systems
- Design, build,d and advocate for the adoption of reusable and scalable solutions for specific use cases such as Service Management, Project Management, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, etc…
- Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce technical debt accumulated on the platform
- Participate in the evolution of their internal Service Delivery processes for designing, building, and delivering work systems to the teams.
- Manage and review the work that needs to be completed by 3rd party vendors
- Configure integrations and security, solve access and permissions issues
- Author and maintain operational process documentation, runbooks, technical designs, and shared standards
Required Qualifications:
- 6-8 years experience with Jira Cloud
- 2+ years experience with Jira Service Management Cloud
- 4+ years experience with Groovy scripting with Jira (ScriptRunner)
- Experience working in a Jira Cloud Platform environment with close to 6,000 users, over a million issues, 550 projects and 800 custom fields.
- Experience building work systems on the Jira Cloud Platform at the scale of large initiatives composed of several teams, encompassing hundreds of users.
- Advanced proficiency with Atlassian Jira Cloud Software and its most popular add-ons (Advanced Planning, Automation, eazyBI, ScriptRunner, Structure, Custom Charts)
- Advanced proficiency integrating the Jira Platform with Slack for custom multi-platform workflows
- Experience participating in large multi-person technical efforts, including hybrid teams composed of full-time employees and 3rd party vendors
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
- Proficiency in IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL 4
- Excellent remote working skills: you thrive in a hybrid work environment and are very comfortable with asynchronous communication, providing timely and relevant updates on your progress and blockers as they arise.
- Excellent English language skills: you are comfortable presenting to large audiences and excel at writing in-depth application how-tos, documenting processes, and producing user-facing documentation

- Experience with Atlassian Compass
- Experience in Portfolio Management, Capacity Management and Project Management
- Experience in Agile frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with Asset and configuration management in Jira Service Management
- Proficiency in other programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript or Python
- Completed the ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud Certification
- Completed the ACP-420 Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
