Job Description

Join Agilent as a Systems Manufacturing Engineer, where you’ll design, integrate, and optimize manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability. This role involves collaborating across teams to drive process automation, system reliability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Integration

  • Develop and implement manufacturing systems, including software, hardware, and automation solutions.

  • Provide design input and support for SAP Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

  • Ensure seamless system connectivity and data flow in collaboration with IT, operations, and engineering teams.

Process Optimization

  • Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Develop solutions for data collection, monitoring, and reporting to enhance production performance.

  • Support Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation initiatives.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Provide technical support to resolve production system issues.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to improve First Pass Yield and implement corrective actions.

  • Minimize downtime by maintaining system reliability and responding quickly to incidents.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Training & Collaboration

  • Train engineering and production teams on system functionalities and best practices.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with manufacturing goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electro/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.

  • Experience with MES and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., C/C++, Java).

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for both in-person and remote interactions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Excel Macros and Visual Basic.

  • Familiarity with CAD software.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (ISO 13485).

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $97,920.00 - $153,000.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
