Job description

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer Backend (PHP/TypeScript) to work in a remote setup for our Europe-based client. For this role, we only process candidates who are based Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

As a software engineer backend, you will:

  • Build shared infrastructure and tooling to help us build better and faster
  • Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards

Your Profile

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience as a Backend Software Engineer, specializing in PHP and TypeScript. 
  • Additional familiarity with Laravel/Symfony is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of micro-services oriented architecture and the creation of extensible REST APIs.
  • Showcase practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, notably MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch.
  • Have practical knowledge and hands-on experience with containers, AWS ECS, AWS Lambdas, AWS SQS, AWS S3, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
  • Exhibit expertise in cloud computing workloads and storage operations, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Uphold a dedicated commitment to writing clean code, optimizing application performance, and conducting thorough testing.
  • Display excellent communication skills in English.
