WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the product and services strategy, driving the development and delivery of innovative, market-leading products. Your focus will be on bringing products to market that offer clients comprehensive, best-in-class solutions while advancing the digital asset infrastructure. You will be responsible for defining and refining the product roadmap, understanding and translating market and customer needs, and working closely with development, design, and cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure successful product delivery. Your leadership will be critical in aligning stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring that our product offerings meet both business objectives and client expectations.

Requirements

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle: From ideation through to launch and post-launch, own the "what" and "why" behind both existing and new product offerings. Continuously measure and assess product performance and outcomes to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Drive innovation over a broad range of opportunities across platforms, including initiatives to mature digital assets market structure, implementation of core blockchain capabilities, and designing new user experiences across multiple channels.
  • Shape the overall product vision and strategies for the enterprise product by gaining a thorough understanding of customer and associate needs—current and future—and leveraging that knowledge to deliver customers and associates with an unparalleled experience.
  • Develop reasons for new product offerings, including considerations for commercial value, operations and technology requirements, and compliance with regulations.
  • Proactively uncover new opportunities (market gaps, emerging trends, and customer needs) and help build the internal business case for initiating new product development efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term strategy.
  • Oversee product teams by tracking performance, aligning priorities with business objectives, and ensuring that products meet the needs of stakeholders and end-users across the organization.
  • Independently lead initiatives with our clients, as well as our internal business partners across technology, risk, compliance, legal, operations and service teams to drive product opportunities.
  • Lead collaborative efforts across Coastal, identifying opportunities for collaboration and influencing teams beyond product/engineering.
  • Able to support more than one engineering team of dynamic, entrepreneurial individuals with a passion for capital markets and blockchain technologies eager to advance the digital assets infrastructure.
  • As a senior member of the product management team, contribute to defining operational processes, driving cultural initiatives, and influencing key organizational decisions to create a high-performing, results-driven environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Proven work experience as a product manager in the banking or fintech industry.
  • Strong understanding of how capital markets function including market structure, key operational functions, and regulatory constructs.
  • Significant knowledge of digital banking and blockchain technology.
  • Experience in leading product concepts from incubation through to production.
  • Hardworking with a desire to learn, grow, and challenge yourself.
  • Ability to translate product vision into discrete, actionable plans including delivery of technical designs, build/buy/partner decisions, and product delivery plans.
  • Comfortable taking ambiguous requirements and translating into actionable work, both for technical teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Commercial mindset and understanding of financial concepts; ability to develop quantitative analysis to support product and other investment proposals.
  • Comfortable operating effectively in a dynamic and changing environment (often with unstructured and/ or virtual teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver business results.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and product management skills.
  • Ability to influence even when holding a position contrary to the majority.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of professional work experience, including experience in the financial services industry and/or management consulting with focus on financial services
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading one or more technical teams
  • Experience delivering products via API, such as a technical platform or data platform
